Teeny Butterfly Parent/Infant Programme (Birth – 3)

Parents as Partners

There is no cost to parents for this programme** - it is 'fee free'.

The VOC Teeny Butterflies Parent/Infant Programme offers Auditory-Verbal therapy for babies and toddlers with hearing loss and information and education for parents. The VOC is the only non-profit service in BC for deaf and hard-of-hearing children with services delivered by a Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist®.

Language comes most easily and naturally to children in the first few years of their lives. Our Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist® guides parents by demonstrating ways to help babies and toddlers at home and offering one-on-one sessions with the child and parent(s). Families learn how to turn daily routines like getting dressed, taking a walk in the park and going to the store into a learning experience. Small group and individualized instruction are designed to help the acquisition of listening, speech, language and social skills.

Teeny Butterflies Parent/Infant Programme is available September to July for families with babies and young children (birth – 3 years).
