Welcome to the web site of the Vancouver Oral Centre for Deaf Children. We hope that you will find the information provided helpful in selecting an auditory-oral programme for your child or learning more about the possibilities of acquiring spoken language and listening skills through the use of technology and early intervention. Now in our 45th year of providing services to children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, our alumni have gone on to lead independent lives in the career of their choice including veterinary science, law, business, trades, education, computer science, nursing and many others.

We understand the challenges faced by families when a child is diagnosed with a hearing loss and the concern you may feel about where to find services to meet your needs. Our programme is designed to offer you a wide selection of educational and therapy options, based on the development of spoken language and listening skills.

Whether your child has been newly diagnosed at birth or at an older age, we are here to assist you in considering early intervention options. Serving newborns to early elementary in our new facility in Vancouver or students in independent schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12) throughout the Lower Mainland, we are here to help.
